Henna has been used for 1000’s of years for the staining of skin and colouring of hair.
Eyebrow Henna has been specially formulated for use in Tinting & Staining Eyebrows.
Henna tinting “stains” the skin more effectively than regular tinting and sets to a powder like matte finish that last 2-4 weeks depending on the skin type.
This treatment is Vegan friendly and an all natural. Many clients comment that it reduces the need to fill in the brows and adds definition where hairs are sparse. No peroxides or preservatives. Perfectly suited to sensitive skin types.
Colours available to suit all client Hair / Skin Types with the colour effect lasting 7-10 days (often longer) on the skin.
What is the difference between Eyebrow Henna and Eyebrow Tint?
With the Tint, I am using a traditional dye and peroxide mixture and it is designed to only tint the hairs, not the skin. Henna will not only dye the hairs, but will leave a stain (for approx. up to 2 weeks) on the skin behind the brow, giving the brow a fuller and filled in look. In terms of longevity, Tint lasts up to 4 weeks on the hair, Henna can last 6-7 weeks on the hair.
How do I know which one I might want to book?
If you are someone who does not normally wear any brow products
(or very little) and prefers a more subtle look to your brows,
then start with the Eyebrow Tint.
If you are accustomed to a very defined and filled in eyebrow and like a more rich colour, go with the Eyebrow Henna.
What is Henna?
Henna comes from the leaves of a plant known as Lawsonia inermis. The form I work with is a powder and it is mixed with a purified water.
Is there any special post care instructions?
Yes, you will want to go easy with your eyebrows when cleansing to extend the life of the stain on the skin in particular. Obviously, if you scrub, peel etc at that area, the stain behind the brow is going to disappear much faster. Also exercise caution when applying any type of skin care products containing exfoliators (topical acne medications, retinol, lightening products, alpha hydroxy acids, etc) Keep all of these away from the brows as they will strip them of their colour.
It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift is retained, even after a shower, swimming and wearing mascara - lasting for 6 to 8 weeks!
To top off the treatment, we apply a black lash tint which makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 60 mins to complete.
It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!
Treatment consists of four stages. Allow 60 minutes.
1. Lifting Solution
2. Setting Solution
3. Lash Tint
4. Lash Conditioner
How do I need to prep for the treatment?
PLEASE ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT COMPLETELY FREE OF EYE MAKE UP! Also, you must stop usage of waterproof mascara at least 2 days prior to your Lift! If you wear contacts, they must be removed.
What are the post treatment instructions?
Pretty simple: Don't get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours. Steer clear of waterproof mascara the entire life of your Lift. Brush out the lashes daily.
Why can’t I wear waterproof mascara?
Harsh chemicals are used in waterproof formulas in order to make them, well.... waterproof. This chemical composition is extremely drying to your lashes. Not to mention all the effort and extra tugging and pulling on the lashes to remove the mascara. To be honest, most people are not great at thoroughly removing the mascara. If that’s the case, now you’re running around with this super drying film of chemicals on your lashes 24 hours a day. This results in weakened lashes that are prone to breakage, and over shedding.
Are some lashes resistant to the curl?
I have found, on occasion, that it's very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and let's see how your lashes hold the curl.
